Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles

LAFLA’s Self-Help Centers accept volunteer applications on a rolling basis to staff the Self-Help Center at the Superior Courthouse location indicated below. Volunteers will get hands-on experience on the following:
 Providing self-represented individuals with legal information on civil matters, primarily eviction, divorce, paternity, domestic violence and civil harassment;
 Assisting litigants with preparing pleadings; and
 Assisting with workshops to educate individuals on a specific area of law.
This is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to work with litigants, and learn the nuts & bolts of different practice areas.
