About the Role

Interns will:
• Learn all aspects of organic food production including composting, soil building, pest control, etc.
• Observe a non-profit operation
• Develop teamwork and leadership skills by participating in group projects
• Experience community building first hand

Requirements

• Applicants must have their own transportation.
• Applicants must be available on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to noon. Our eight gardens are each assigned a certain Saturday of the month (1st Saturday, 3rd, etc.) for their monthly work day. We need your assistance during these hours. Additional hours can be tailored to your schedule.
• Interns will participate in planting, maintaining and harvesting our dedicated charity beds.
• Gardening experience is not necessary, but applicants should be eager to learn.
• A good work ethic: punctuality and reliability are important.
