Waymakers

Students will get hands on experience in a short term crisis residential program for homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth ages 11 to 17, both boys and girls. Learn how to answer crisis calls, mandated reporting, active listening and help therapists to facilitate therapeutic groups. Students will work with youth specialists in team setting learning to problem solve, de-escalation strategies, and the use of coping skills. Students will assist and eventually lead life skills and coping skills groups. Flexible hours, weekends and weekdays.
